The old Honda Vezel was due for an update and Honda gladly delivered.

The all new Honda Vezel comes with a new exterior design, spacious and modern interior layout, more tech and a perfectly weighted powertrain. Moreover, it does away with the few features owners complained about in the previous version of the Honda Vezel.

Exterior Of The Honda Vezel

The design of the new Honda Vezel is futuristic, with a quirky grille and great new headlights. The dashboard has a horizontal theme that maximizes space and functionality while looking elegant. Honda managed to integrate it into the front section and preserve the feel of a traditional grille.

Speaking of the front lights, daytime running lights also double as turn signals and fog lights are also LED.

The side view reveals a nice bold silhouette that obviously borrows its shape from a coupe or a stylish hatchback.

The integrated rear door handle further emphasizes this feel. The stylish exterior is further emphasized by these 16” gloss black rims with chrome accents.

Engine

The 1.5L petrol engine produces 117 hp and 142 Nm of torque. Combined with an advanced Eco-Drive assist system, it offers the sweet spot between power and efficiency.  Further assistance comes from a CVT gearbox that makes the best use of the available torque, perfectly matching the driving input to the desired outcome, be it acceleration or peaceful cruising.

Accelerating up to legal speeds is a breeze, overtaking is pretty easy and cruising is just completely effortless.

The official fuel efficiency stands at 17 km/L and with the fuel tank of 40L, you get nice fuel economy and mileage, even in the city.

The new Vezel is also very safe with Smart Key System, Hill Start Assist, Parking Sensors, ABS, EBD, auto brake hold, electronic parking brake and Honda Sensing with Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System and Preceding vehicle start notification function.

Interior Of The Honda Vezel

The central console is all new and definitely more up to date than ever before. This design frees up more space up front and it makes the design cleaner. The new multi-function steering wheel is obviously an improvement based on the old one and it looks a lot better.

Storage includes a glove box, central console bin, two large cup holders, door bins, a phone tray next to two chargers in front of the gear lever. We just have to mention how happy we are that the new Honda Vezel now gets physical knobs for the climate controls. It is just so much more practical.

Interior quality is also top-notch. Everything feels solidly built and the tactile feel of the aircon controls adds a very nice touch.

Honda says that the new Vezel offers 3.5 cm more legroom than the old model. It doesn’t sound like that much but there will be more than adequate space in the back.

Two adults at the rear will have plenty of space even on longer trips.

There are no rear air vents but there is an innovative solution at the front that lets the driver route cold air from the front to the rear of the car and down the sides.

It is difficult to talk about the rear seats of the Honda Vezel without mentioning the amazing Magic Seat feature. It lets you fold the cushion of the rear seats upwards and frees space for bulky objects that you would not be able to load into a much larger car.

With Honda’s 60/40 split rear seat setup, cargo can be accommodated without jeopardizing passenger comfort, while the rear seat can accommodate extra-long belongings.

This rear seat can be completely flattened with the press of a button in the cargo area. The seat can be reclined at your wanted angle also.
