The Prius Alpha is a compact MPV designed to give you all the benefits of the Prius and two more additional seats for improved versatility.
It is a full hybrid vehicle, which means it can be powered by the engine alone, battery alone or combination of the two.
The engine is a VVT-i 1.8L petrol which uses Atkinson cycle for improved fuel efficiency. It produces 73 kW (98 bhp) and 163 Nm of torque. The engine is aided by a 60kW electric motor which, aside from the possibility of providing a zero-emissions drive, also gives a wonderfully continuous torque delivery. Fuel efficiency is rated at 27 km/l and the top speed is 180 km/h.
