LTA Access Code Guide (Request | Use | Revoke)

Your Quick Guide To LTA Access Codes

How To Request, Use And Revoke Your OneMotoring Access Code

What Is The OneMotoring Access Code?

Since 30 June 2025, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has required all vehicle owners to issue a One- Time Access Code on OneMotoring before any third party, your motor dealer, finance broker, scrap or export agent can look up sensitive vehicle information on their behalf.

It replaces the older “last four NRIC characters” method, which had become a weak point for protecting owners’ personal data.

At Vin’s, we ask for your access code whenever we’re valuing, buying over, scrapping or arranging the transfer of your vehicle, so our team can pull up the relevant figures and give you an accurate quote.

This short guide walks you through requesting, using and revoking it, whether you’re a private vehicle owner using Singpass, or a company representative using Corppass.

The Access Code is required for three LTA digital services:
• Enquire PARF/COE Rebate for a Registered Vehicle
• Enquire PQP Payable under the Category C Early Turnover Scheme
• Enquire Vehicle Transfer Fee

Note: PQP enquiry under Cat C ETS is only available to fleet operators and businesses with ETS-eligible vehicles, so the LTA panel may show only two services in some contexts.

Before You Start

Have these ready before you log in:

  • Your Singpass app (for individuals) or Corppass-linked Singpass (for businesses)
  • The mobile number of the person who’ll receive the code — your Vin’s representative or yourself
  • Optionally, the recipient’s email address. Tip: pop your own email in here even if the recipient is
someone else, so you keep a copy
  • Your vehicle registration number, especially if you own more than one

Step-by-Step: Request Your Access Code

Step 1 Open OneMotoring

Open your browser and head to onemotoring.lta.gov.sg. On the home page, scroll to the Popular Digital Services section and click Request Access Code.

Step 1 — The OneMotoring home page. Scroll down past the ACT Against Scams banner to find the Popular Digital Services section.

Step 2 Log In With Singpass Or Corppass

Click Login at the top right. A panel will appear offering three options:

  • For Individual Users (personal Singpass)
  • For Business Users (Corppass for companies and fleet operators)
  • Autopass Account

Pick the one that matches how you hold your vehicle.

Step 2 — Click Login to open the user-type panel. ChooseFor Individual Users’ to log in with personal Singpass orFor Business Users’ for Corppass.

Authenticate with the Singpass app. Scan the on-screen QR code, or use the Scan function inside the Singpass app itself.

Step 2 — Singpass login screen. For business users, the system identifies the session as a Corppass login. Scan the QR with the Singpass app.

After logging in, you can also reach the service directly via the dashboard menu: Digital Services > Others > Access code > Request access code.

This same menu is where you’ll later find Revoke access code if you need to cancel one.

Step 2 Alternative path after logging in: Others > Access code > Request access code (or Revoke access code).

Step 3 Select Your Vehicle

Once you’re in, the Request Access Code form appears. The “About this digital service” panel at the top summarises what the code can be used for.

Step 3 The Request Access Code form, with the “About this digital service” summary panel at the top

Under Vehicle Details, select “All Vehicles” to cover everything registered under your name or enter a specific vehicle registration number.

You’ll then be asked to choose how long the code should remain valid.

The options are 14, 60 or 180 calendar days.

14 days is the default. You may select 60 or 180 days if you’d prefer a longer validity window.

Step 3 Vehicle selection above, validity period below. The example shows All Vehicles selected with a 180-day validity.

Step 4 Enter Recipient Details

Scroll down to the Recipient Details section and fill in:

  • Mobile number — of whoever should receive the code (your Vin’s salesperson, your finance
broker, an agent or simply yourself)
  • Email address — optional but recommended. Pro tip: enter your own email here. OneMotoring
doesn’t automatically copy you on the SMS or email, so this is the cleanest way to keep a record
  • Remarks — up to 250 characters. Useful for noting why you’re issuing the code, e.g. “For Vin’s to value my Honda Vezel”

Step 4 Validity period and the empty Recipient Details section are ready to be filled in.

Step 4 A completed example: recipient mobile, optional email, and a useful remark identifying the vehicle and purpose.

Step 5 Agree And Submit

Read through the Terms and Conditions, tick the agreement checkbox, then click Request Access Code.

Step 6 Receive The Acknowledgement

After submitting, the acknowledgement page will display:

  • The vehicle registration number(s) covered
  • The 6-digit Access Code
  • The request date (today) and expiry date (based on the validity period you chose)
  • The recipient’s mobile number and email, if you entered one

Step 6 Acknowledgement page with the access code, request and expiry dates, and recipient details.

Step 7 Recipient Receives The Code

At the same time, OneMotoring automatically sends the access code by email (and SMS, if a mobile is provided) to the nominated recipient.

The message contains the 6-digit code, your vehicle plate and the expiry date.

Step 7 The email that the nominated recipient receives, containing the access code and validity period.

After You Have the Code

How Long Is It valid?

You choose at the point of request: 14, 60 or 180 calendar days. The default is 14 days. The code stays valid until that period elapses or until you revoke it, whichever comes first.

How Many Times Can It Be Used?

Unlimited within the validity period. The recipient can re-enter the same 6-digit code each time they need to access PARF/COE rebate, PQP under Category C ETS or transfer fee enquiries.

Can I Share It With More Than One Person?

Yes. Technically anyone who knows the 6-digit code can use it during the validity window. For that reason, share it only with parties you trust, and revoke it the moment the transaction is done.

How Much Does It Cost?

Nothing. LTA doesn’t charge anything for generating, using or revoking the access code.

How To Revoke An Access Code

You can cancel an active access code any time before it expires.

Step 1 Find The ‘Revoke Access Code’ Service

Head back to OneMotoring. Click the magnifying-glass icon next to Login, type “access code”, then select ‘Revoke Access Code’ (Requires Login).

Alternative path: Digital Services > Others > Access code > Revoke access code.

Revoke Step 1 — The Revoke Access Code page showing all active codes. Select the one you want to cancel.

Step 2 Log In And Pick The Code

Authenticate with Singpass or Corppass as before. You’ll see a list of active access codes under your name (or your company’s name). Pick the one you want to cancel.

Revoke Step 2 The Access Code Request Details panel shows the vehicle and recipient associated with the selected code.

Step 3 Confirm And revoke

Tick the T&C checkbox, click Next, review the vehicle and code details, then clickRevoke Access Code’.

Revoke Step 3 Verify the access code information and status, then click Revoke Access Code to confirm.

Step 4 Acknowledgement

A confirmation page will appear, listing three key dates: the original request date, the original expiry date and the revocation date. The recipient will also receive an automated email letting them know the code has been cancelled.

Revoke Step 4 Acknowledgement screen confirming that the access code has been successfully cancelled.

Quick FAQ

Why Did LTA Introduce This?

The old “last four NRIC characters” method had become a weak link for protecting personal data. The Access Code is more secure but requires the owner’s explicit, time-limited consent.

Do I Use Singpass Or Corppass?

Singpass if the vehicle is registered to you personally; Corppass if it’s registered to a company you represent. The flow is essentially identical. Just choose the matching option at the Login panel.

Which Three Services Does The Code Unlock?

Enquire PARF/COE Rebate, Enquire PQP under Category C Early Turnover Scheme, and Enquire Vehicle Transfer Fee. The PQP enquiry is only available to fleet operators with ETS-eligible vehicles.

Do Dealers Need Their Own Login?

No. The recipient simply needs the 6-digit code, your vehicle plate, and (for rebate enquiries) an intended deregistration date.

What If I Forget To Save The code?

Just repeat the request steps and generate a new one. There’s no penalty, but you should revoke any older code you no longer need.

Can I Still Sell Or Scrap My Car Without Doing This?

Yes. But your dealer or scrap agent won’t be able to retrieve the paper value, PQP or transfer fee without it, which will hold up the transaction.
